Categories:

ONLY ONE ICE DRIVING: a team consists of 8-10 dogs, a musher, and a cross-country skier. The cross-country skier can be attached to the sled or ski independently, but may not skijor.

Entry fee:

4 000 CZK per team
The entry fee is paid upon registration or by bank transfer approximately one week before the start.
The entry fee includes:
  • car parking for two nights in Pec pod Sněžkou
  • timing, trail preparation and marking
  • warm water for dogs throughout the race
  • straw for dogs
  • toilets in Tetřeví Boudy
  • Saturday dinner (soup and main course) after finishing the 1st stage
  • Sunday dinner (soup and main course) after finishing the 2nd stage
  • Monday lunch (soup and main course) after the end of the race Penzion Javor - Pec p. Sněžkou
  • prizes for winners

Veterinary requirements:

The competitor is obliged to present proof of vaccination of the dog to a person authorized by the organizer who performs veterinary checks of dogs and, upon request, to a representative of the State Veterinary Administration for the Hradec Králové Region, the Hradec Králové Inspection, who will check the following health and veterinary requirements and, during the tests, check compliance with Act No. 246/1992 Coll. on the protection of animals against cruelty, as amended. Participating dogs will be without clinical signs of disease. They will be equipped with a properly filled-in vaccination certificate, including a description of the dog, the stated tattoo number and microchip number. Dogs will be immune to rabies, distemper, infectious hepatitis, parvovirus, canine leptospirosis and kennel cough. The above vaccinations will be stated in the vaccination certificate. Furthermore, according to the regulations on animal protection, the competitor is obliged to have the dog under their supervision throughout the event, to provide their dog with water, and if necessary, food, and to participate in a corresponding manner in protecting their dog from suffering.
Veterinary acceptance will take place before the start of the race: 15:00 – 16:30

Bivouac:

Starting from the beginning of the 1st stage until the finish of the 3rd stage, two overnight bivouacs will take place outdoors in nature, where dogs will sleep outside on straw and the crew in their own tents. Furthermore, one warm meal per day will be provided for competitors, always in the evening. A restaurant in Tetřeví boudy will be available on Saturday evening after finishing the race and on Sunday after finishing the race. ON SUNDAY AND MONDAY BEFORE THE START, IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO GET ANY FOOD IN THE RESTAURANT TETŘEVÍ BOUDY. Therefore, it is necessary to provide your own breakfast for both Sunday and Monday.

Cleaning:

It is necessary to clean up after the dogs continuously and to dispose of all other waste in the place designated by the organizer.

Musher Meeting:

Always 1 hour before the start of the stage.

Race progress:

1st stage, night stageStart - Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 6:00 PM. In Pec pod Sněžkou from the bottom station of the Javor lift. Track - length approximately 40 km (will be specified on the website and on FB) Finish - Tetřeví boudy

After arriving at the finish line, the crew must pitch their tent and take care of the dogs.
Straw for dogs and hot water will be available.
Furthermore, there will be a toilet and a clothes dryer available at Tetřeví boudy.
IT IS FORBIDDEN TO DRY ANY EQUIPMENT OTHER THAN CLOTHING AND SHOES OF COMPETITORS IN THE DRYER.
Afterwards, competitors will have a meal provided at Tetřeví boudy.

2nd stage - dayStart - Tetřeví boudy - Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the slowest., Track - length approximately 40 km (will be specified on the website and on FB) Finish - Tetřeví boudy

In the evening, competitors will have a meal provided at Tetřeví boudy.

3rd stage - dayStart - Tetřeví boudy - Monday, March 3, 2025 at 10:00 AM from the slowest

Race Details

  • Distance: Approximately 40 km (will be specified on the website and Facebook)
  • Finish: Pec pod Sněžkou
  • Award Ceremony: Around 3:00 PM upon all racers' arrival at the finish line. The ceremony will take place at Penzion Javor, where a shared lunch, included in the entry fee, will be served.
  • Route Changes: The organizer reserves the right to modify the route based on current snow and weather conditions. Any changes will be announced before the start of each stage.

Race End

  • Date: February 3, 2025, in the afternoon.
  • Location: Penzion Javor, Pec pod Sněžkou.
  • Awards: Prizes will be awarded to all present racers.

Mandatory Equipment

  • Dog Food: Sufficient for three days for all dogs. To be carried at the start of the first stage.
  • Musher and Skier Food: Breakfast and food for the day, for both the musher and skier. To be carried at the start of the first stage.
  • Tent: One per team.
  • Rope: For example, to tie the stake out to a tree.
  • Sleeping Bags: Two sleeping bags rated to -20°C (one for the musher and one for the skier).
  • Snow Shovel: One per team.
  • Headlamps: Two headlamps per team, plus spare batteries.
  • Dog Food and Snacks: A sufficient amount of food and snacks for the dogs.
  • Food for Musher and Skier: Approximately 4000 kcal of food for both the musher and skier.
  • Dog Boots: Four pairs.
  • Stake Out or Steel Lines: Including neck couplings.
  • Matches or Lighter: One box.
  • Knife: One.
  • First Aid Kit: One.

Sled Requirements

  • Frame: Required.
  • Brake: Required.
  • Mat: Required.
  • Anchors: Two.
  • Sled Bag: One.
  • Recommended: Chain brakes.

Additional Notes

  • Maximum Teams: A maximum of 20 teams can participate. The organizer reserves the right to select participants if there are more applications than available spots.
  • Refund: If not selected, participants who have already paid the entry fee will receive a full refund.
